Biography
Anja was born in Bosnia and came to Sweden in 1992, when she was 9 years old. Almost immediately she took an interest in theater which became her life’s passion. After high school she started to work in a free theater group which she has been touring around in Sweden for 7 years. It was seven grueling years with over 200 performances per year but it was also an incredible fun time and huge experience that laid the foundation for her entire artistic creation.
After that Anja has been working as a freelance actor on several theaters across the country. The past few years she´s been working at Ung scen/öst which is the youth scene of Östgötateatern. The job made her move from Stockholm to Norrköping, where she now lives with her family.
Anja is a curious person who constantly wants to develop, both as a person and in her professional life. In recent years, she has also worked as a director and written three plays. Something that Anja wants to continue to do more of in the future. She is also very curious about working with film and television. She has not had the opportunity to explore that part of the acting profession, and she really thinks there is something attractive about an art form that consists, unlike that of the theatre.
