Biography
Lissa Edil is a Swedish actress of Kurdish and Indian heritage, born and raised in Stockholm. This fall, she takes on a leading role in the highly anticipated Swedish-international television series Blood Cruise, adapted from the bestselling novel by Mats Strandberg. The series is a collaboration between Sweden’s Northern Fable and the UK’s Imaginarium Productions, led by none other than Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis.
Lissa Edil is currently studying theatre at the International English Gymnasium, where she continues to evolve through performance, collaboration, and creative exploration. Entirely self-taught through hands-on experience, she brings a grounded, intuitive approach to her craft. A passionate storyteller, Lissa is not only an actor but also a published author. Her first book was released at just 16, and she’s now working on her next. Whether in front of the camera or on the page, she is deeply devoted to understanding and portraying the complexities of character.
Lissa’s artistic soul extends beyond acting and writing, she finds joy in drawing, music, and fashion. She loves art, travelling, socializing, animals and hanging out with her friends. A solution-oriented and emotionally perceptive individual, she thrives under pressure and leads with empathy. Her greatest strength, she says, is her ability to read a room and adapt, always striving to respond with intention and awareness. Curious, driven, and wholehearted, Lissa pours herself fully into everything she does.
