Stefan Popov is a Swedish actor of Balkan descent with experience across film, television and theatre. His passion for acting began at the age of 11, when he joined a local theatre company, spending five years developing his craft before transitioning into film.
Most recently, Stefan was cast in a leading role as Elias in the Swedish television drama Genom mina ögon (2026), directed by Sam Safinia and produced for UR. He previously starred as Julius Novak in the SVT series Hack My Heart (2023), directed by Max Tellving. His film credits include leading roles in Love Story for Men and Silvia Is Pregnant, as well as the award-winning short film Gathering.
His stage experience includes the Off-Broadway production I Am Silvia in New York and the Swedish theatre production Hans är väck. Stefan has further developed his craft through training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York and the Meisner Studio in Stockholm.
