Biography

Gabriel Flores Jair was born in 1967 in Cordoba, Argentina, and grew up in a home where both his parents, and an uncle, worked in the theatre field. His parents went, with their foldable puppet theatre, to poor neighbourhoods and played for free for the children during the weekends.
His uncle Nicolas was by then a known and hardworking mime artist who taught him short mime sketches which they performed at family dinners.

Gabriel, his parents and two younger brothers Argentina and relocated to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in november 1977 and by the end of January 1978 they moved to Sweden.

At the age of nineteen, while studying to become an arts teacher, Gabriel started to work as a freelance press photographer.

But it wasn’t until he turned twenty five that he began to become interested in acting. During the coming years he would alternate between acting and press photography but also work as a producer at Intercult in Stockholm. Gabriel also became one of the initiators, and main producer, for a culture venue in Malmö called Inkonst and also being the artistic director for the now closed Teater Delirium.

Furthermore he has also worked as an actor at Teater Insite in Malmö, in productions by SVT (The Swedish Televison) such as; Bron/Broen (The Bridge), Wallander (The Takeover), the short movie From Above and also at SR (The Swedish Radio).
